Buying a computer (expensive)

Remember to save money you will need to make purchases that are not just for the short term for but the long term. When you buy a computer it comes with a certain level of technology. Technology is constantly changing, it is changing so fast that the product that you buy today will need to be upgraded tomorrow.
Desk tops computers are too big and bulky and normally there are physical parts that need to be taken in and out to upgrade them. Laptops can be upgraded over the internet with very few if any hardware changes within a ten year period.
Why does apple computers have the advantage? There is no charge for a new operating system each year, if and when it might be necessary, it can be installed on your computer for free.
You may go through 5 or 6 upgraded operating systems within the life time of your computer. Other brands might charge you 200 to 300 dollars for each time you want to upgrade to their latest system.
In that case it would have been better to just by an apple computer and upgrade seamlessly each year for free. Also the extra programs that you may want for word processing and pdf manipulation or scanning, these programs upgrade without cost. Mostly everything that can be installed on the computer is free once you buy it well into the future. So the upfront cost is a lot but at the end of the day it is not so bad. Also, in our opinion it is more difficult for hackers to get into your computer. In general the spyware makers do not make as much spyware to hack into macs as they do computers with windows operating systems. Additionally they are just simply good computers that are made with high quality materials and do not produce a lot of noise, so you could leave it on at night without a loud fan ruining your sleep. Lastly as you get older you do not want to open your computer and suddenly it does not work.
